Frontend Application / Web Application Developer

What You’ll Be Doing

Object Matrix is seeking an ambitious and skilled GUI developer to build the frontends for various company browser based applications.
Since this is a new suite of applications there is an opportunity for a more experienced GUI developer to be integral to the design of the look and feel as well as being innovative to bring great usability and functionality.

Object Matrix operates in the Media industry and thus presentation of video, video editing, searching video etc. are all part of the browser experience. Cutting edge admin screens, search methodologies, presentation and navigation of AI results will all come into the applications. Effecvely, the GUIs are the face of the company products and are to be a major part of the company’s technical direction.

We are currently planning to use Angular Material but are also open to using other frameworks such as React.

We are a dynamic company, based in the centre of Cardiff, who works with 100+ leading media companies around the world. Media companies like BBC, BT, ITN, and NBC. The solution we deliver to those companies is a scalable object storage solution together supporting applications. Typically delivered on Linux based solutions, but also using Windows and Mac from time to time.

What the role will include:
  • Demonstrate practical knowledge and problem-solving strategies
  • GUI design and implementation
  • Interaction with test suites
  • A strong understanding of customer behaviours and a willingness to take user experiences to high levels of perfection
Your Experience

Essential:

  • Great communication, presentation and written skills
  • Ability to work with a team
  • 2 years experience and/or demonstratable experience with key frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript etc.

Nice-to-have:

  • Broadcast + Media technology experience
  • Storage system experience
  • Angular, REST, Spring Boot, Angular Material, Sass, Elascsearch, S3, Java, React

Digital Marketing Assistant

What You’ll Be Doing

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and driven Digital Marketing Assistant with a results-oriented attitude to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a digital-savvy problem solver who is passionate about digital marketing.

Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing strong and innovative digital marketing strategies using SEO and other techniques to drive traffic to the company website and generate interest in our solutions. Through the creation of engaging written content and the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns, you will be responsible for managing our social media pages while staying up-to-date with the latest marketing technologies and trends.

What the role will include:
  • Enhance and implement SEO strategies to drive traffic to the company website and improve overall performance
  • Create and manage link-building strategies, content marketing strategies, and social media presence
  • Develop engaging online content
  • Monitor and analyse content success
  • Forecast marketing campaign growth and ROI for marketing campaigns
  • Manage email and social media marketing campaigns
  • Keep abreast of new social media sites, web technologies, and digital marketing trends; implement these new technologies in developing campaigns, and update current campaigns to include new information
  • Drive growth on LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube followings and engagements
  • Support website management, editing, and development
  • Assist in the preparation of promotional presentations and documentation
  • Performing administrative tasks such as updating CRM; keeping the data clean and tidy
  • Communicating with our reseller and technical partner communities and building good working relationships and collaboration
  • Ensure proper portrayal of our brand’s image and tone
  • Create and execute compelling and exciting marketing email campaigns
  • Analyse, track, and report on all digital marketing metrics
Your Experience:
  • A relevant marketing or digital media qualification is not essential; being passionate about marketing will do
  • Proven experience as a digital marketing professional
  • Good verbal and written English
  • Experience using SEO tools, including Google Analytics, Google Console, Tag Manager, and SEMrush
  • Experience using email marketing software such as Send in Blue, HubSpot, and others
  • Good knowledge of the latest market trends and social media marketing techniques
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to conduct in-depth research
  • Familiarity with different social media platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Excellent networking skills
  • Experience using CRM platforms, including Salesforce and Hubspot
  • Adobe knowledge (desirable)
  • Fluent in other languages (spanish, french) (desirable)
Skills:
  • A good understanding of how to use social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Be a good “team player,” but confident enough to work independently
  • Able to take responsibility for delivering work, meeting deadlines, contributing your ideas and asking questions, and using your initiative
