If you need to protect 10s to 100s of terabytes of data then cost is important. Never mind that MatrixStore software
reduces adminsitration costs dramatically over tape based solutions (Disk/Tape TCO data)
but couple that with the fact that scaling a nearline or deep archive to protect hundreds of teraybytes of data can only be
economically feasible using non-proprietary commodity hardware then 'The MatrixStore' is well placed to be the safe location for data in your workflow.
Node Pricing Model
'The MatrixStore' is a clustered disk-based archive consisting of three or more MatrixStore nodes. A node consists of off the shelf, industry standard, hardware components pre-loaded with MatrixStore software.
The following figures show the pricing and raw capacity (before RAID or mirroring of content) of the individual nodes. See below for more information regarding minimum cluster sizes and capacities.

What You Get
If you do not have two copies of your data you do not have it. If you cannot find it you do not have it. The prices quoted above covers the protection of your data either by maintaining a single copy (RAID5 or RAID6) or two copies of your data. Always. It also includes the ability to search for and bring back your content so you can work on it whenever you need it. Included in the cost is the hardware and all the software functionality. There are no hidden extras. No making and verifying multiple copies of tape. No messing around with LUNs, directories or Volumes. Your data, protected at the highest levels and available when and where you need it.
